Pinspiration: Pinned on Pinterest: Vintage Suitcase Turned into a Jewelry Organizer

I am a Pinterest fan, but I didn't want to turn into strictly a pinner. I wanted to be "Pinspired", and actually do a DIY. I pinned this really fun little project Vintage Suitcase Turned Jewelry Display from Richmond Craft Mafia onto my pinboard DIY: Jewelry. So.... here's what I did on 3/3:
 
I picked up a small suitcase at an estate sale a few weeks ago. It cost me $5. It probably was a makeup case.


My younger son repaired the peeling up lining with our trusty glue gun.... Thank you Johnnie!

Then, I used 3 yards of coordinating lace trim, and I spaced them 1.5" apart. I ran it as one continuous strip from one side to the other, and secured them with hot glue. I had a little bit of lace trim left over, so I used it to cover the hinge, and secured it in the back of the display. 
Then, I turned it on its end, and put my earrings on it.






Ta-dah!!!!! All done!!!!

      Amy - Yeah, I probably need to join a 12-step group. At least, these were all cheap finds (thrifted or gained by swapping). Thank you for the feedback.

I am a child of the 80s. I love hard rock and metal music, and have for quite some time. I have a local radio station that I adore,  103.7 WMGM Rocks  and I had the luck to win RATT tickets from them. I have been a fan of RATT  since I first saw "Round and Round"  on MTV in 1984. So.... Fast forward to March of 2017. I called and won tickets when I answered a trivia contest through 103.7. My 1980s fangrrl was super-happy when I collected my tickets. How to Dye a Leather Purse with Spray Paint Color

How to color a leather purse.... This one happens to be a Prada bag. Yup, real deal. Here's the story behind this post. I bought a beautiful Prada bag at an estate sale earlier this year. Sadly, we had a fire in our house (in May 2013), and whatever could be salvaged went out to the professional cleaning service. It came back to me physically intact, and not reeking of smoke. But.... it needed (ahem) color adjustment. Step 1: Collect your supplies This step is a "no duh" step, but sometimes it really needs to be said. I got the purse, latex gloves and a can of Meltonian  Nu-Life Color Spray in 645 Chocolate.  I made sure sure to read the can, since the dye in this can is basically a can of spray paint that is suitable for use with vinyl, plastic and leather.  The directions state very clearly to use this in a "well-ventilated area", so I decided to take this project outside.  Step 2: Spray the "Color Spray" on the
