Playin' with GEL Polish: Sephora/OPI and ProGel


I purchased some gel polishes yesterday, and did a quickie mani during my lunchbreak today. Here's what I used:






 








Sephora by OPI Gelshine: Bare to be Different and
ProGel by Super Nail: Trophy Cup.
I bought the Gelshine from the Sephora in Deptford Mall, NJ and I bought the ProGel at the Ulta in Mays Landing, NJ.





After doing all the prep (shaping, buffing, applying the primer and applying the base coat, I cured it with the Sensational LED light I had used on a different mani. Then, I applied the "Bare to be Different" Gelshine. It's a very sheer, natural, bare color. It would be great for a French Mani.











Then, I added the "Trophy Cup" glitter/ clear top coat and cured it.












Then, back to the clear top coat, cure, and alcohol pads. Done in approximately 15 minutes!























There.... in full sun, nice and sparkly!

Trip to Philadelphia, PA to Theatre of Living Arts to see RATT

I am a child of the 80s. I love hard rock and metal music, and have for quite some time. I have a local radio station that I adore,  103.7 WMGM Rocks  and I had the luck to win RATT tickets from them. I have been a fan of RATT  since I first saw "Round and Round"  on MTV in 1984. So.... Fast forward to March of 2017. I called and won tickets when I answered a trivia contest through 103.7. My 1980s fangrrl was super-happy when I collected my tickets. How to Dye a Leather Purse with Spray Paint Color

How to color a leather purse.... This one happens to be a Prada bag. Yup, real deal. Here's the story behind this post. I bought a beautiful Prada bag at an estate sale earlier this year. Sadly, we had a fire in our house (in May 2013), and whatever could be salvaged went out to the professional cleaning service. It came back to me physically intact, and not reeking of smoke. But.... it needed (ahem) color adjustment. Step 1: Collect your supplies This step is a "no duh" step, but sometimes it really needs to be said.
