Project Refashionista: Boho Circle Top Downsizing

I bought a pretty boho light and airy circle top early this summer at a thrift shop for $3. I really love the fun, girly print, the lacy collar, the buttons down the front, and how light and floaty it is. But.... it is a circle style cut, and very tent-ish. So.... here's the before.

I turned it inside out, and cut down the side seams, freeing the sleeves from being fully attached. I also cut out a bunch of volume. Then, I sewed up each side of the top, and down the underside seam of each sleeve, all while making sure the hems of the sleeves and the hem of the top all lined up.

Here's what the after looks like on. It's still loose and airy, but NOT tent-ish. It went from being a size petite XL to a petite L.

Here's how it looks on the hanger. It's perfect with skinny jeans!
